Ford F-150: Performance Specs

When shopping for the F-150, you’ll have a lot of configurations to choose from. From trim level to engine, you’ll get to customize your truck to ensure you get the performance you need out of it. So, take a look at your engine options and see which is right for you:

The available engines don’t end there, though. The F-150 offers six engines in total, including a full hybrid engine and a turbo diesel engine.

The full hybrid engine is a 3.5L PowerBoost™ V6 capable of reaching up to 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque. Aside from its impressive strength, this engine earned an EPA-estimated 25 city and 26 highway MPG. The available 3.0L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V6 engine achieves 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.

Additionally, all these engines come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Selectable Drive Modes. The standard modes include the following options: Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, and Trail. However, there are three other available modes: Deep Snow/Sand, Mud/Ruts, and Rock Crawl.

With a powerful truck like the F-150, you’ll be well equipped to handle any job that comes your way. When properly equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine, you’ll have a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds. With the proper equipment, the available 5.0L V8 engine offers a maximum payload capacity of 3,325 pounds.

However, the other available engines of the F-150 also offer incredible levels of strength. For example, if you choose the hybrid powertrain, you’ll still have a 12,700-pound towing capacity and 2,120-pound payload capacity when properly equipped.
