2021 Ford F-250 Engines and Configurations
Like every F-series Ford truck, the F-250 Super Duty offers a range of configurations to allow you to customize the exact truck you want. It offers two bed lengths, a 6.8-foot bed and an 8.2-foot one, and three different engines including two gas-powered V8s and a turbo-diesel V8 which generates 1,050 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, this truck can tow up to 22,800 pounds and has a maximum payload of 4,260 pounds.
In addition, you can choose from three different cab configurations: the Regular Can, the Super Cab, and the Crew Cab. When you add this to the six different trim levels and all the options packages available, you get a truck that you can really build custom to your tastes.
Technology Options
The F-250 has a wide range of technology options spread among its trim levels. At the base level, you get features like the FordPass™ Connect, which gives you remote vehicle services and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot as well as a USB-C port for device connection and charging. You can step up to features like a touchscreen display, GPS navigation, smart device integration, heated mirrors, power accessories, household power outlets, and an integrated trailer brake controller. From convenience to comfort and infotainment, these features offer a premium ride experience.
At higher levels, you get extra options that take the luxury to another level like dual-zone climate control, premium 11-speaker sound by Bang & Olufsen, an 8-inch driver information screen, auto-dim mirrors, LED bed lighting, remote start, keyless entry, and even massaging seats for that extra bit of luxurious comfort.
Luxury Cabin Design
Speaking of luxury, when you start to get up in the higher trim levels, you'll really experience a luxurious cabin design with full leather upholstery and interior, heated steering wheels, ventilated seats, moonroof, suede headliners, wood trim inside, and other features that will have you driving around in first-class comfort.
Off-Road Capabilities
The F-250 can be had with two different off-road packages to allow you to trailblaze in the toughest conditions. The available FX4 Off-Road Package gives you hill-descent control, special shocks, and skid plates to protect the transfer case and fuel tank. The available Tremor Off-Road package gives you a limited-slip differential up front and a locking rear differential. You'll get extra ground clearance and upgraded suspension with off-road tires, extra skid plates, and improved approach angle with special bumpers. Finally, you'll get rock and trail crawl modes to tackle tough terrain.
