Unlike many other certified programs, Ford certified pre-owned vehicles can belong to one of two categories. Blue certified models can be from any manufacturer, but will have to meet a few qualifications in order to come with these benefits:

• FordPass™ Rewards Points

Blue certified vehicles must be less than 10 years old, have less than 120,000 miles on the odometer, and pass a 139-point inspection to earn this status.

Gold Certified vehicles, on the other hand, have slightly higher standards to meet. These vehicles must be from Ford and must pass a 172-point inspection to be considered for this certification. From there, they will be made available with a few additional perks like Limited Powertrain Warranty. Plus, the Gold Certified Comprehensive Limited Warranty will be extended to 7 years or 100,000-miles.

Certified pre-owned models are similar to the used models you’ll find on our lot but could be an excellent choice for drivers in need of extra quality assurance with their used model.
